Summer Hair

It's been a while since my last blog...sorry about that! Life can get so busy at times.  I wanted to share some of my favorite hair care products.  With the warmer weather and summer vacations its nice to spend less time under the dryer. Here is a break down of what I use and why.

Kerastase Deep Conditioner - If your hair is like mine and seems to get dry during the summer months this is a great conditioner that will keep your hair nice and moisturized.

Kerastase Oil - Another great way to keep your hair from drying out and also help tame those fly-aways and frizzies.

It's a 10 - This product is new to me but I love it. It really helps fight the frizz and keeps the hair from getting so tangled. I use this product on my daughter as well.

Suave dry shampoo - For those rush mornings where there is no time to do much.  This will freshen up your roots and give you a lift for the day.

Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray - I have been using this a lot since the 100 degree weather arrived.  Just let your hair air dry then spray this product in and you will have pretty beach waves. So pretty! I used it today.

Big Sexy Hair Play Powder - This product is great for making day one hair feel a little dirty. It will help with volume on the roots and keep your up-do up. Just use a little.

And lastly...every girl needs hair spray! I have used Loreal for years it is my go-to hairspray.  It holds without being sticky. Perfect for that summer sweat lol.

I am always open to new hair products and suggestions.  I love trying new things to see what works and what doesn't.  Hopefully some of these suggestions will work for you and your summer hair. Feel free to leave some comments about what products are on your counter.

it's a 90's summer

I did some shopping for my summer essentials and man oh man did I see a ton of stuff that took me back to my childhood.  From overalls to babydoll dresses the 90's are back in a major way! I will admit I did get a little excited since I loved all of these fashions as a kid. Here are a few 90's inspired trends that are perfect to buy and mix in with your style this summer.

A floral/neon heel. So cute!

 A floral dress.

 Jean vest...very 90's

 Floral high-wasted shorts.

Get ready for fun the sun!

Outfit crush

As I was looking through my morning facebook feed I came across this gorgeous spring outfit.  I am loving the long blazer with high-wasted skinnys. So cute! Now where to find this ....

So... I also found a really cute white long blazer at Love Couture for only $45.95.
Pair this with a bright colored tank and you have the same look for less. So cute!

Kimono summer

Now that we all know Juan Pablo is a creep ... let's talk Nikki's super cute kimono that has turned into a fashion friendzie.  As soon as I saw hers I knew I needed that ASAP! These tops are adorable for spring and summer. Just put on a cute little tank, shorts or jeans and off you go looking super stylist. They would also make a great swimsuit cover up.
I personally just bought two from forever 21 and I love them.

High*Rise

Highrise jeans are back! They are very figure flattering so I highly recommend getting a pair. They will go perfect with all those cute summer crop tops or a tucked in tank. It is a very classy beautiful look for any occasion. You can find them anywhere from $19.99 to $200, skinny or a bell bottom. No matter the price or fit you will look very in style.

Quick tip tuesday

I wanted to share a quick skincare tip I learned over the weekend while getting a facial.  I have never thought to use Aloe Vera Gel on my face as a moisturizer until now! After having one of the best facials I have ever had the Esthetician recommended I use Aloe Vera on my face after washing with the Clarasonic.  She put some on me that day and WOW my skin is so soft! So of course I went home to google it and found out Aloe Vera can be used for a lot of different things other than a sunburn.  Who knew! I am so excited about adding this cost effective addition to my beauty cabinet.
If you try it I hope you will be pleasantly surprised like I was. :)

Here is a link to what Aloe Vera can do for you.

Valentines Style

One of my favorite holidays to dress up for is Valentine's Day. If you feel that way too then what you wear can be very important J If your plan is to go on a lunch date or picnic pick up a cute heart scarf to put with your jeans. I just got one from Rue21 for $7.99! Can't beat that price. Heart print is everywhere right now you can find it on sweaters, tights, or even a dress. Another pattern that is popular is floral. You could find a pretty rose peplum or blouse to wear with your jeans. For more of a night time look a sexy red dress is always a great go to. This heart cut dress is from Charlotte Russe and is only $29.99! http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Dresses/Little-Red-Dress/entity/pc/3021/c/0/sc/3309/248528.uts

If you don't have time to shop you can also grab something cute from your closet. Red jeans and leather leggings have been hot for a few seasons now so if you have some that would be a perfect opportunity to wear them. A pink or red blouse or shoe would be a great option as well. Whatever it is you end up in just remember to enjoy this special time with the one you love.
Happy Valentine's Day!
P.S. Don't forget to grab your Valentine a special gift J

Splash of color for spring!

Who's excited for Spring already? I am! I love when the season changes because that means you have an excuse to shop.  This spring there will be a lot of bright pretty colors and floral patterns.  I see a lot of the 90's coming back around which I enjoy since I grew up in the 90's.  One essential that you can pick up now and will be sure to wear all spring and summer would be colored heels.  They are perfect for adding a little color to your white top and jeans for the season.
So grab a light sweater and some colored heels and enjoy the beautiful weather! :)
